'69 Brake Master Cylinder Substitute

Date: Tue, 30 Nov 1999

Since I have bought and restored a '69 P1800S, I'm very interested in everything concerning this car. I have a technical tip for you about the brakes. It appears that the master brake cylinder of the Alfa Romeo 33 fits also on cars like mine. I found that out while looking for one in a local junkyard. The price of a new one is quite high, so this might be a good alternative. You have to plug off the extra lead-outlet and replace the fluid reservoir with the original one but that is not a big problem. For the rest, it fits perfectly!
